Graduation Set

My Goodness, it's the 24th of July!  Where has the last six weeks of summer gone?  My dear Mum and Dad just left and headed back to Scotland last night.  They were with us for those six weeks, but we had so many celebrations and commitments to get through that my stamping hours were greatly curtailed.  So in an effort to get back in to the swing of things, I'll start with a quick blog post!

Graduation for my eldest son was first on the agenda this summer, so I made a coordinated set of a scrapbook page, a Congratulations Grad. card and of course a simple Thank You note.  His school is the "Home of the Panthers" and of course, as you'll see their colors are red and black!

So first is the scrapbook page:

I used all the sparkly goodness available in red and black from Sparkle N Sprinkle along with various widths of tapes to make my page. Click here for full instructions.

Moving right along to the Graduation card.  I was still on a roll (with the tapes!) and kept to the same colors. Here is my finished Congratulations card:

Sparkle N Sprinkle has a great little Graduation set, from which I used several of the images for my projects. The instructions for the card are right here

Then finally, an easy, but effective little Thank You note. I just embossed the Thank You in Black detail embossing powder and taped the Sparkle N Soft products on to two widths of  Tear-ific tape to complete this one:

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back soon, I'm off to work on my August sketch challenge for Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Have you sent in your July Challenge yet?

IT'S THE SNS CHRISTMAS IN JULY BLOG HOP

Thanks for stopping by the Sparkle N Sprinkle's Christmas in July Blog Hop.  The design team are aiming to beat the heat with some cool winter and Christmas projects.  Hopefully it will inspire you to get started on your Christmas cards early this year.  All the Christmas, winter and Jewish stamps are on sale this month, so if you see something you particularly like, now is the time to get it!

Grab yourself a cool glass of lemonade and enjoy the show!  If you got here by way of the very talented Barbara Bruder, then you are on the right track.  If not, then you need to go back to the start at the SNS home page, and remember to leave a comment on each of the designer's blogs to be eligible for one of the five prizes.

For my cards today, I used the Merry Crow Stamp Set.  For my first card I kept things really simple, I don't know about you, but with 162 cards to do each Christmas, I try to come up with a couple of easy ones!!  I stamped the Merry Crows twice across the card and colored their hats with Copics and added a little glitter (of course!).  I then added a couple of strips of Sparkle N Soft using the amazing 3/4" Tear-ific Tape. Here is the finished card, and here are the full instructions:

For my second card, I painted the background using different embossing powders. I then stamped the images on top, colored in with Copics and added extra texture, using some Mudd Puddles!  Such fun!

Here is the finished project:

Here's a close up, so you can see the texture of the Mudd Puddles:

....... and here are the full instructions for the card.

I hope you've enjoyed my projects today, now you need to jump over to crafty Marie's blog, but remember to leave a comment for me before you go!  Enjoy the rest of the hop.

July Sketch Challenge at Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hi there,

Getting back to the summer rhythm, after a weekend of good craziness at the Scrapbook Exhibition, in Somerset, New Jersey.  Thanks to all who came by our sparkly booth, I have to say, I'm still wearing glitter!

So a new month and a new challenge.  Here is the link for this month's sketch.  Have a look and then give it a try for yourself.  Here is what I came up with  using the Super Adhesive sheets, flocking and Sparkle N Soft.

Did you know that you can stamp directly on top of flocking?  Using another cat image from the new Wild Cat set - here is my take on the sketch - full of fuzzy goodness!  Click here for all the details.

Why don't you give this month's sketch a try?  You could win a stamp of your choice!
